On the website there is mention of the cadaver dissection being held at the hospital. Are there new cadavers being used each semester and how is the dissection organized? The site also mentions "Students are also given exposure to clinical science as they take physical diagnosis class and are exposed to the patient at the hospital"... I assume this held during the fourth semester but what is the scope of the class?

There is no exposure to patients at the hospital during physical diagnosis ("PDI"), which is a Med 4 class. You do go to the hospital for anatomy dissection during the Med 1 semester.
If the school web site says you see patients, you should complain loudly about this to school officials. It injures the school's reputation to have lies or deceptions on the web site. Compared to other Carib schools, this is a pretty good place, but the web site is one area that needs urgent attention.

I agree with FossilDoc on this one - the school website needs to be more frequently updated and better matched to the current situation on campus. Consider for example that the premed booklist did not match up between what was listed on the website, and what was available at the online bookstore; this creates unnecessary confusion and wastes precious student dollars.
In spite of its organizational problems though, the school has a number of pluses including its student body - which is where I come in. I don't know how much help I might be to someone new to the school, but if you're coming down, it wouldn't hurt to send me a PM on ValueMD and see what level of assistance I can render. I'm premed, so I'll likely be around for awhile... 2 years!! I might even meet you at the airport if you're extra specially nice.

Two fundamental areas the admin needs to address on the website is an up to date faculty list w/teaching credentials and course descriptions of classes available. I realize professors change semester to semester, but an ongoing list would help.. and course descriptions should be very straightforward. Why course descriptions you say?? well, take for instance a state medical board wanting to know what was covered in class. Not that this would happen in all cases, but there is no reason it couldn't. How easy would it be for one to explain the courses with an online outline of what is being covered. Just something to think about...
