this is for the people who are starting at Kern in april, have any of you got the schedule and assignment letters to know the exact start and end dates for all of your rotations as well as any orientation info? the core coordinator keeps saying they're working on it everytime i called (since the end of october!!) thanks for any information you can give on here.

The same thing is happening for Providence. They said they wont send confirmation and schedule till 45 days prior to starting. I can only hope that the day of they dont say they have never heard of me!

LOL...i have 2 weeks left till I am suppose to start but yet no confirmation from the hospital (they have never heard of me) but school insists I am confirmed. ahhhh

If you call a site with in a month of starting and they have no clue who you are... I'd be very worried. AUC may have you down on their schedule but that doesn't mean anything if the hospital isn't expecting you. Keep pestering auc to contact the site and very politely keep in contact with the hospital site coordinator. Also ask the site coordinator if there is any additional information/documents you need to bring on your first day or that you can mail/fax in advance. In the end it’s just going to make your life easier to take care of these things before hand. Plus it makes you look smart and polite. ;)

Miami should have emailed you an official letter stating that you are scheduled for xyz rotations at abc site(s). Ask for one of those letters if you haven’t received one. Again, just because you have one of those letters doesn’t necessarily mean Miami has already contacted the site.
