I would like to say hello to everyone, and I am looking forward for may2008 to start at UMHS

I called today and spoke with the admissions office and they told me the start date will be the 12th of May.

Registration and Orientation will occur on May 7-9, 2008. There will be a convocation on the 11th and classes will start on the 12th. Incoming students should plan to arrive in St. Kitts in plenty of time to get settled prior to registration. Of course, the University will help with this entire process. Additional information comes in the Welcome Packet once a student ahs been accepted.

Let me welcome all of you to the University of Medicine and Health Sciences. I think that you are in for a great adventure, a unique experience and a good education! Not only are you coming to a new culture, but you will have the distinction of being the inaugural class at the medical school. Both of these confer the title of "pioneer" on you! In addtion, you have the history and experience of the Dr. Ross organization behind you which assures you of a good medical education. As we put the faculty together, I think it is safe to say that you will have some of the top teachers in medical education.
