Attention ASUSM Forum users:
It's come to our attention that there are multiple account users posting on the ASUSM forum. As is well known, multiple accounts are against the Terms of Service (http://www.valuemd.com/disclaimer.php), automatically detected by our system, and can result in the automatic and permanent ban of ALL associated accounts.
If the multiple account user decides to try again, the IP is blocked. A third time results in contacting the proper authorities, which can include one's University. Because of the negative impact this latter option may have on one's career, we thought we'd post this warning so the users can decide for themselves whether it is worth the risk or not.
Since our system waits for a certain number of criteria before determining whether an account is a multiple account, the accounts can sometimes exist for a while before getting banned. However, the system usually catches the violators eventually as it collects evidence with each visit to the site. So I strongly urge you to reconsider using multiple accounts, even though you may think you can get away with it forever :twisted:.
If you're using multiple accounts, I urge you to send me a PM with the following:
list all accounts ever used
state that you will only use ONE account from now onIf this is done in good faith, we'll allow you to use ONE account from now on. As is our policy, we will NOT offer this compromise AFTER you have been caught using multiple accounts. In addition, this confession will only be known to the Moderators and not made public (the additional accounts will be banned). Therefore, I very strongly urge you to contact me BEFORE the system catches you.
