While it appears as if this school is limping along with a few students paying for clinical rotations, the owners could not pay the rent on the campus and were evicted around August. So many students have had problems getting transcripts that you should look elsewhere at a school that is stable. Yossarrian

No use going to this school if past students are having trouble getting their transcripts.

I received a PM from SaveDafur stating:

MUA BELIZE IS NOT CLOSED, THATS UDDER B.S. THAT IT IS, USUALLY IT'S THOSE WHO GOT CUT LOOSE (FOR FAILING) POSTING FALSE INFO AND SKEWED PROPOGANDA, U SHOULD CALL MUA BELIZES U.S. OFFICE TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT 1-978-410-5491 IN MASSACHUSETS OR TRY ALTERNATE OFFICE AT 1-800-438-6510. IT'S A DARN GOOD SCHOOL. I WENT THERE, IT'S ABOUT 7 YEARS OLD, ALREADY HAVE RESIDENTS IN THE U.S. AND SEVERAL HAVE PASSED USMLE'S.

I AM ALSO RECEIVING CONTRADICTING PM'S ABOUT NON-PAYMENT TO CLINICAL SITES AND NO BASIC SCIENCE PROGRAM. wHEN THERE'S THIS MUCH CONFLICT I THINK IT'S BETTER JUST TO LOOK ELSE WHERE.

I called the school several times on the 800 # and just got voice messages. If you select option 2 "General Information" they are claiming a 100% USMLE pass rate. Is this true? why doesn't MUA Belize have a forum on ValueMD?

Strange...

Consider this post from http://www.valuemd.com/medical-university-americas-mua-belize/145249-school-closed-good.html#post693675:
Apparently it's still open and functioning. please state your sources when making such bold accusations. it startles and scares the &$#@ out of students enrolled (like me, myself and i) :p appreciate the heads up and help. let's keep it real though.

One claiming to have "went there" and another one claiming to be "enrolled".

Anyways, I agree with "wHEN THERE'S THIS MUCH CONFLICT I THINK IT'S BETTER JUST TO LOOK ELSE WHERE".

About Some Of The Mua B "claims". Call The Other Line And Ask Them To Back It Up. I'm Content With The Fact That There Are Mua Belize Grads In Resident Programs (i Know 2 Of Them). I'm Content With It, I Don't Care If It's 100% Or 50%, At Least Mua B Degrees Work For Resident Programs. Call And Ask The School To Straighten It Out.

You Know, First Letter Caps On Each Word Is Smelling Really Fishy. Not Many People Do That On This Forum, Except You, And Each Alias You Create (this is the dean of MUA-Belize), Moderaters, Isn't This Against Rules of Agreement?????????

If you are looking into a medical school offshore, consider only those who have been approved by a legitimate outside agency or source such as the State of California or the State of New York.

Schools that would fall under this category are (in no particular order) St. Georges, St. Matthews, AUA, mua NEVIS (NOT Belize), Saba, Ross and AUC.

Do not even engages in conversation with MUA Belize, it is not a legitimate school. The owners are thieves, crooks, scammers (and those are the nicest things I can say about them!)

Don't be naive. Just look elsewhere. Plenty of other places to access your dream.

Best of Luck!

with your constant rants and whining. so how is the island hopping coming along? will you be done with your education before 2025? how do you sort out all your records and transcripts? it must be daunting. i know mua belize was only a pit stop on your journey from covering a wide range of academic institutions. it sounds like it can be fun, but afterwhile it must wear you down? WHY ARE SELECT PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM IMPOSSIBLE? I'M NOT NO DEAN. I HOPE THE ADMINISTRATORS GET REPLACED. I'M ALL FOR IT!

Yes, by all means give yourself a "pink slip", please have someone put that on video as well....I'd like to see it when you pass the pink slip from your right hand to your left..... :whut:

Remember: MUA Belize has NO licensed graduates, NO buildings owned, NO medical center or hospital, NO University affiliation, NO undergraduate programs, NO Masters programs, NO medical research, NO ACGME (Green book) clinical rotations, NO loan programs, NO DOE approval, NO State approvals, NO CT, Doppler or any other medical technology, NO infrastructure etc...All of this Equals = NO Medical School!

I see SaveDarfur is now permanently banned for multiple accounts.

reincarnation? multiple personalities?

This school must be in serious, serious trouble if it has to use this type of tactic.

She'll be back. It may be 2 or 3 weeks, but she'll appear again under a new name. VMD is their only avenue for zero cost recruitment/marketing, as they know a good majority of people seeking medical educations eventually wind up here during their research. What is troubling, is that if they can just get a few naive students each semester, they can more than survive, and keep going indefinitely - hurting a lot of people in the process. Thanks DT and everyone else for looking after students interests by refuting their nonsense for all to see! Well Done. :D

I have received multiple PM's regarding this school. The last one gave me information regarding a campus lock out in Belize. I am not interested in receiving any more PM's about this school I have decided to apply somewhere else. There is to much drama associated with this program.

Anyone planning to attend this school should read this link I came across yesterday. What all the other students said about the campus not belonging to MUA Belize is true after all. Where are the classes taking place?
