actually i send this as an e-mail to IUHS. but they are not responding, so i am publishing this as an open letter in this forum. i hope IUHS will spare a little time to answer this, at least i the forum( if they dont want to answer to me personaly) below is the copy of my e-mail.
sir,
i have come across many arguments against your school in many forums and websites including valuemd. and in some of these sites you have promised to answer our genuine questions upon request. thats why i am sending these e-mail. i hope you will spare a little time to clear my doubts. actually i was planning to join UEIMS, india.but now , i am scared because of these arguments. hope you will answer me.
1.how many faculty have you got in the island, how many permanent?. how many visiting?can i have the names and there contact addresses.?,please.
2.what is the area of your campus in st.kitts ?.can i have some photographs of your campus?
3.how many students you got now?. how many in campus?. how many in elp?.
4.how many of your students is now working/ doing residency in US/UK or other countries?. can i have the contact address of some, at least two or three.?
5.what all hospital facilities you got in the island?. what about in india?.please specify how many beds, doctors etc.
6. is your school banned in any US states.? if yes which all states.?
7. what is your relation with london medical college.?
8. what is the required qualification for getting into eLP.is MCAT required.?
9. can i be your eLP student with out joining UEIMS.?what is your payment schemes for eLP.?
10. is your school permanently recognised by st.kitts and nevis, or is it only upto some time, ie provisional or limited or only upto some year.?
11. can i sit for PLAB after your eLP.?
12. your website says your programm does not need labs and its lack is compensated by early exposure to hospital labs..but how can it be done in elp, since we are not going to hospital in the pre-clinical phase of elp.?and in your parnter institution, UEIMS, they are saying they got all the basic sciences labs..? what you think of that.?
13. your website says yoy got schools in uk, india , uae , and canada. while i heard about the first three, i havent heard heard anything about your school in canada.(winnipeg). can you please provide it mailing and email address.
14. in your website you says that IUHS is banned in some states because of political reasons. what you mean by that political reasons.? is it like that the united states of america is too jealous with a medical school in the island of st.christopher and nevis ,because of its superb facilities and reputation, or something like that.
15. and finaly,do you genuinely think that your school is on par with the american and indian med schools?and if i graduate from your school, will i be considered equalent to others with american or indian degrees or will mine be a grade two degree..?
hope you will spare a little time to clear my doubts,
and i do expect an answer not in a single paragraph, but in a numbered format with clear 15 points or more in it, that i can evaluate it easily.
