Are you a fresh high school graduate? I suggest you graduate a US 4-year college and try to get into a US medical school. Consider the Caribbean only if all fails.

im a new first trimester student at IAU and went through the 6-year program, i liked it, Texas A&M-commerce has a pretty good pre-med program and i really like the curriculum at IAU. About NY, IAU is in the process of getting licensed to practice there, NY has already visited the school, so i assume it shouldn't be much longer.

Yes, NY is scheduled to come again in February, however, IMO always try to get into a US med school, the time saved through there 6 year program could be quickly lost waiting for "greenbook" rotations and the application process for IMG's. If considering Caribbean, IAU is a wise choice, I am currently at the same place among various students including ROSS students, Russian medical students, and even Chicago medical school students. We all get treated the same... so far.
