Does anyone know what histology text Saba is currently using? I purchased the 10th edition of Junqerira Basic histology but noticed that on the website they require a different text. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Rich0275,

You can just visit the saba website www.saba.edu. The exact link is http://www.saba.edu/admissions_books.php. just click on the link and it breaks down the books required per semester.

Hope this helps.

We don't really "use" any of them. We just memorize the powerpoint slides. If you pick up a couple of color atlas' though it's very helpful.

Someone mentioned earlier that Bloom and Fawcett's Concise Histology is now recommended. I thought it was better than Junquiera.

Unless things have changed a great deal there are no "reading assignments" that come directly from the textbook. You're just expected to keep up with the topic through varied readings and the (very important) Power Points. I also suggest the BRS.

Best of Luck!

The current histo text is useless. If you want mine, I'd be happy to sell it to you! :)

They are using the Concise Histology of Bloom & Fawcett. It is an easy to read book, and for me it worked very good as reading material before the lectures.
