Prospective applicant

I am really looking forward to applying either next year or the year after into some 4 yr or 6 yr M.D. or 5 yr D.D.S. programs in Poland. However, I am debating whether or not to attempt with my univeristy marks since I am already in 3rd year undergrad and have run into some trouble.
My GPA for first and second yr are as follows:

first: 2.6/4.0 classes included: Calculus, Physics, Intro Psych, Fitness Assessment and Training, English and Computer Science,

second: 3.15/4.0 classes included: Psychology, Anatomy, Human Physiology, General/Inorganic Chemistry, Athletic Therapy, Health Promotion, and Biology

third year: is going much better so far then all the other years, I am much more focused and ready to achieve better grades.

My high school marks in science all maintained over 85%... however, do I have a chance at achieving acceptance for a 4 year MD in Poland? I will never forgive myself for not working to the best of my ability in first year, I just hope I did not screw myself over..

ANY ADVICES FROM PPL WHO HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED???

I think that if you continue with your current progress, you will get in somewhere. Keep in mind that some, not all, of the schools may require you to sit for the MCAT .. so you should take that into consideration.

Also, I would concentrate not just on your grades, but on developing effective study habits as well as a strong work ethic. In my opinion, most schools over here will set you up with a chance to achieve, but how good is that chance if you can't perform up to the academic par expected of you?

What about gaining acceptance into the 6 year M.D. program? would I be at a worse advantage becuase of my low GPA and/or would it be best to apply with just my high school marks?

You should be able to get into a 4yr program. I would try that route first and if that doesn't work, then try the 6yr route. Good luck!
