Hey guys,
I just today found out I got into Ross for the January 2008 term. It was a relief that I at least got into med school. (BTW, for those of you who don't know I had a 2.18 undergrad GPA, a 4.0 post bach GPA and a 25 MCAT. So there's hope for everyone!). But from what the guy told me on the phone I only have like 2 weeks to pay my deposit to reserve a my seat. I should find out if I get into AUC around the same time. I just interviewed at St. George as well ( on the 23rd of this month). Is it a good idea to call St. George and let them know about my situation so they can expediate my application process and render a decision. Do any of you have any experiece with this?

yes you should call SGU and AUC to let them know you got into Ross and have 2 weeks before you have to pay your deposit, i would go to AUC over Ross, because of the clinical issues that ross has. you can do a search to find out more about their clinical problems.

No offence but 2.18 GPA undergrad - damn! Well good luck on you anyway. There is a girl in my class (SGU fall '07) with a 2.89 cum Bach and Masters, 29 MCAT. Hope that helps.
My advice is to avoid Ross if you can, at least until they prove that they can solve the clinical question, I mean really solve it. Good luck

Thanks RussianJoo,
I'll definately call the schools and see if they can let me know fairly soon.

whats the dilemma?
I guess dillemma is not an appropriate name for the subject. I was just basically trying to find out the best way to get AUC and St. George to make a decision by the time I'm forced to pay my deposit at Ross. My top choice is St. George and like I said I interviewed with them on the 23rd. I guess I should just call them when I receive the acceptance stuff from Ross and see if they can let me know as ASAP.

Ross is probably in dire need of students; thus the quick acceptance. Again, call SGU or talk to your adviser. AUC accepts students pretty quick too so give them a call too. Good luck
I was wondering if AUC gives an extension to pay its deposit. I'm waiting for SGU's reply and have been given barely a week to pay the deposit for AUC.
Wondering if someone else was in the same situation:-teeter

I was 4 months ago... ended up paying the deposit for AUC and got 2/3 back.
