Question about applying for 2008 match before getting CK Results.. please help!

Like the title says.. I'm in a dilemma... I just recently took my CK and am awaiting the results... I was planning on waiting for the results before applying but have read on some threads that its best to apply as soon as possible, even before getting your results...

So this is my dilemma --> what if I do apply before getting my results and it happens that I did not pass??? Can I still retake the test and match for 2008 (basically, will my money not go to wast)?

Anyone with experience or knowledge, I would appreciate your advice since my results wont be available for another 2-3 weeks (mid-october) I think maybe applying before the results would be best...but like all medical students, I don't have money to throw away so I really need some guidance on this!

APPLY! I also applied before getting my results and got interviews without the results being in. Send your current USMLE transcript and request to hold off on the Step 2 scores until you've seen them. All you have to do once you've seen your scores is retransmit your USMLE transcript (takes a day).

I second that! I applied without step 2 scores, and with a mediocre step 1 score, and I have 8 interviews to date. Good Luck!
