I Passed!!!!!!!!!!!

I just chked the ECFMG website and my score report was available! I'd really like to thank all of valueMD for being sooo supportive (esp SOE, and IMGsurvivor) :)
My score (first time around) in Dec was a 179. I hadnt taken any NBME and did 25% of Kaplan Q bank.
This time (exam was on Aug 30) my score was a 212/88.
UW avg: 58%
NBME 1: 510
NBME 2: 410
NBME 3: 380
NBME 4: 460

I still cant believe that I'm done with STEP 1. It def was a hard exam or so I felt but if I can do it ... so can you! Just dont give up!

Hey YOU Rocked STEP1sucks. Perhaps you should change your id name now. perhaps keep it STEP1ROCKS or IrapedSTEP1 (hahahahaha). Thats an awesome score. Really happy for ya. Now kill STEP 2 and STEP 3 with awesome score like those.

CONGRATS again. I have been sitting on this valuemd.com site since morning today..because i knew grades will come out today and i was anxiously waiting for other people's grade (weird person i am).

Thanks! Well as I mentioned I had failed Step 1 first time around last dec with a 179. I did all of Kaplan last time/FA/ and Goljan. Didnt touch any NBME's and did like 25% of Kaplan Q bank (do not remember my avg sorry).
My prep this time: I went through PASS notes that I got from the program, Used kaplan for Micro/immuno, biochem/genetics/molecular, and of course GOLJAN (the book he handed out in class to us alongside with the audio) --> Make sure you do his material I love that man! While reading I would do UW Q bank and took 1 NBME each month. Throughout the reading, I read and drilled FA which took forever! In the end I was able to cover some areas of FA twice and other once.

Advice: Make sure you practice timed mode (was a prob for me in some blocks cause the questions were not as short as UW portrays). Do FA continuously and try to get through it all twice or even three times! Goljan of course and.... for neuro I really suggest Kaplan. PASS program did not prepare me well at all for Neuro. There were alot of pics (cut sections, and artery pics) which I think are shown in Kaplan so do that!
