On the "Aruba Campus" page of the school's web site, it states: "Our student will soon enjoy access to more than 700 medical publications and 2800 medical texts, all available through Xavier’s electronic medical network."

No, I didn't copy that wrong; it says "student". I'll assume it's their mistake, since I'm a student here and I know there's at least one other, mandating use of the plural.

The abovereferenced quote has been there for more than a year. Despite aggressive inquiry among the student body and four unanswered emails to school officials on this topic, I have been unable to locate the network. As I am anxious to access medical publications as part of my studies, could anyone please tell me how to access the network? Thanks.

That money is probably being pocketed in by the greedy little partners or investors of Xavier. I guess it helps keep cost down not having this.

Fossildoc,

Do you think an electric libarary would be useless. When we could not even print stuff out for free and not get ripped off with copies at the office. I think our school needs to get printers in the libarary!!!! and give students a certain number of pages to print each week.

Guys get over it. Throughout my entire education I have had to pay for most of the pages I've printed out. Some professors even made us pay for the syllabi and notes. Yes its ridiculous but such is life.

Remember the goal of med school on the islands isn't to piss and moan about how bad things suck at your school or who knows basic english. Its to learn what you have to in order to become the best doctor you can. Well...that and getting the hell of the islands.

I would rather have to pay for the notes rather than look at my fricken computer screen all day long and look from their.

Ohh well, life is not fair and we should have no voice in all this. Even if we are being wronged.

What was nice is that we got all this new info before classes even started Like new uniforms, seeking ur own transportation to go places that are mandatory.

Have a nice day and good luck...
