our school now has over 50,000 books and over 30 computers for student use and a very cold and big library

Well, the campus is growing and as it looks now, all things equal, the school should plan for an even larger library. I see it having more than 1500 students within 4-5 years from now. Unless they want to keep it small on purpose. But if the greater purpose is to provide doctors to the rest of the world, I see the management of ASUSM gearing up for such growth. :D

i know, i know of at least 10 students from ROSS that transfereed in, and i can tell you this much, they like our school more then ROSS,
One of them in Class today said, i wish Ross was more like all saints,

the way i see it is that, people who want cali, go to ross, but the east coast will evantaully come to our school till we get cali, i know we have a site visit for novemvber or Jan, i pretty sure well get it, Cali will come too

but as the students from ROSS said, they hope our school doesnt become liek ROSS.

And even rent wise, they pay in Picard around 700 for a one bedroom house, same students found better, bigger, nicer , ocean view houses for less then 400 here in Roseau, so i dont know, i see the school having more then 1000 students even sooner then 3 years, we have 200 now, another 200 by next year, and after the site visit, and Terri Loan and canadain loan program this year i think we will have over 1000 in the coming year, i just hope our president never change, he is what makes the shcool.

Terri loans can only be applicable if the school has been open longer than 3 years. For Canadian funds, it has to be 10 years. Although banks may provide on case by case scenarios.

If i had a million dollars I would have certainly considered a scholarship program for the top 3 new schools in the region. ASUSM students would have certainly benefited from such gesture: The Magen-MD Scholarship program  for ASUSM students who intend to work, for instance, in the under-serviced areas of society today or in research or something.

This is a school any private loan program should be willing to support. It does not take a genius at "principles of thermodynamics in chemistry" to know that out of many new schools proliferating in the region which ones are as great. It's schools like ASUSM that take away fear of the unknown from everyone's mind regarding new schools. It has demonstrated that new schools can be just as powerful and even better. Within a few years from now I will not be surprised to see many private scholarship programs geared towards supporting the ASUSM students.

This school has become the obvious choice for many students: both new and transfer students equally. It pays to do things right.

I SEE A BRILLIANT FUTURE !!!!!!!!!!! :congrats: ASUSM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To those of you who emailed me, because of the similarity in your questions, I will answer them here. It is easier for me instead of sending everyone a pm:

1. Some of you wanted to know what my take is on the CMU credibility issue, specially considering that I have been dubbed 'a defender of new schools'

My answer is: It is not true that I defend new schools as long as they are new, NO. Go and read my postings. You will not see such a thing.
I am against bashing, unsubstantiated scare tactic generations against a new school, just because it is knew. My postings are against anti-new-school ghost writers. Or anti-new school competition attitudes and institutional propaganda that purports such attitudes. Because such attitudes fail to acknowledge the genuine and great new schools by ganging up on them as if it were a freemasonry brotherhood.

Exposing bad schools is different from bashing schools and raising shadows of doubt as a way of competing with them. Remember, we are training doctors not lawyers or politicians. And institutions that train them should demonstrate such professionalism and integrity. Education is not about dining on propaganda. It is about being intellectually exemplary and will to learn from those that have done it right. I would be surprised if ASUSM management/admin turned anyone away who asked them how to make a new school successful. ASUSM would be more than willing to help. As such we would have many new school success stories in the region. No tricks are required to succeed. Only big brains of real visionaries getting together with integrity and saying know to wrong influence & short cuts that avoids process--is the key to success.

There are only two reasons why former Ross students like ASUSM:
1. they are the only school that took them after Ross gave them the ol' heave-ho
2. KFC is a stone's throw away

But you are about to lose one of those perks...they are building a KFC across from the campus gates.

I don't know why they wished Ross was more like ASUSM for the sheer fact that you guys run out of a 17th century rum distillery (or at least that's what it looks like), and you don't have much credibility yet...and noticed I said "yet"

Westward ho, my Caribbean school pioneers.

we actaully moved from that so called rum factory, were in town now, are campus is 1000 times nicer and bigger, state of art technology in every class room, with a medical clinic thats open to public.

Accredation, were do for a site visit. you should come see the school, it has evolved from the last years, both systematically and educationally to be more like The american medical universities in that path.

A. " Real Logical Necessity:' What is true of the parts is true of the whole' "

If KFC mattered to these students, who came from Ross U, how can you convince me that it would not matter to anyone else from Ross U?

I believe a Dr to be is more a complicated person than that. But I like your sense of humour, anyhow.

B. That ASUSM is the only school that admitted them is equally an intresting point: This is like saying "She applied to three universities--1. Havard, Yale, Preston, University of California. Only Yale, offered her a place". This does not mean anything at all. That is why people apply to many places, so that they can get into one of them. Simple.

It happens with many students every year and every semester.

Magen

The girls look pretty nice in the pic you posted - but there lies a big problem with all saints . Not enough girls ;)

Ross has a really nice location by the beach and it has tons of students , great chicks of all nationalities walking around ;)

That believe or not makes a HUGE difference !
