Greetings!
I have been interested in medical studies for a few years now. Since most of the lectures in Finland are in finnish (and my mothertounge is swedish) and the qualifications to enter the med schools in sweden are unreasonable high, the oppertunity to study medicin in Poland has been most attractive so far.
Although I have a few questions, so if some of the med students in poland could awnser these, I'd be pleased. I have been browsing through the forums a few days now to gather some questions.

First off; What's an agent? from what i've read: evil people who only wants money? What do they do and how?

What is HMI? from what i've read - some school that sucks(?)

What schools is recomended?

What's AIM?

And lastly: Can anyone post some pictures from the school in Gdansk?

Thanks in advance, if any of these questions have been asked before; im sorry if i've missed them.

1. Takes out a placing fee for recruiting you to a university they have a contract with.
Others services might include, i.e. supplying you with course-material, which is xeroxed, or helping out with visas (only related to non-EU students). The reason why many dislike them is because the service charge is way out of proportion to the service they provide, they fabricate claims and exaggerate the possibilities of their “program”. An example is the "Selection Committee" in Scandinavia representing Gdansk and Wroclaw medical University

2. HMI: Hope Medical School is an AGENT, and one of the worse...it’s not a school, it "represents" a school. But since you are applying to 6-year program from Swe/Fin there is no further need to further explain the details. If your interested you may do a forum search on HMI.

3. My PERSONAL opinion is that you should avoid the smaller cities, and considering the circumstances I would say Warsaw and Krakow are the best choices. But you should take everything you read on these forums and others with a grain of salt, do your own research...I presume you live in Sweden/Finland, hence a small trip to Poland to visit
your top choices might save you from some future aggravation.

4. AIM: Alliance Institute of Medicine, is also an AGENT, see reply nr 2.

5. Search the web and check their homepage out.

Don't use an agent ever and visit the schools then decide.

u can still apply to the school that HMI represents, but apply directly to the school's european program. there will no fees attached to it. good luck!
