I was looking at the licensure approval of foreign medical schools of the state of california, and all the polish schools are there, but its not that good for us cuz were in the english program for the ( 6 yr program) which aren't accredited. Does this mean we can never practice ever in california, or we just cant do our residency in california? But I was wondering like some carribean schools dont offer 6 yr. programs, (its only 4 yr. MD programs) and its in english and they are accredited. Does this only go for the 6 yr. programs? Or is the polish 4 yr. MD program accredited already? Thank you!

If you go to med school in poland you will never, ever, be able to practice in Cali. If u want cali, go to AUC,Ross, SGU,Saba, UAG, Sackler, or Ben Gurion.

Yes you can. You just have to do it in Polish (any of the Polish-language 6 yr progams). Or wait 'til Jag (and possibly down the road Poznan) get their official cali approval.

yea i just saw the list for california..and all the polish programs of MD in poland are accredited...none of the english programs in any school in poland are yet..so does that mean we can NEVER work there as an MD?? Is it just better to go to the carribeans..if you have heart set on working in california??

Jagiellonian's 4 and 6 year ENGLISH programs are California approved. This happened just recently as I remember the California people did the "site visit" about 3 - 4 months ago. Since is so recent it is not yet posted on line. Call the California board and talk to Pat Park, she'll tell you everything you want to know. Good Luck
