All my grades are B+'s and A's

I took orgo and got a D+

but it looks like , for me to retake it . in order to get into a good carib school i need at least a C in that.

Where can i take a fast tracked Orgo course? in my school its 1 full year, i dont wanna waste a year on that and need an idea where can i go for 1 semester to do it up or something, or the fastest way possible?

Any ideas guys?

Thanks

some schools allow you to substitute Biochemistry with orgo II. Find out more about those schools and perhaps you can retake orgo I and Biochem I w/ lab to replace your orgo grade.

find a local community college and take 1 and 2 at the same time, that way you can apply with those 'pending' and it will take only 1 semester.

UC Berkeley-extension program or a community college

I understand your dilemma, and have some advice of my own (though I don't know if you'd like it or not). I had a similar situation like yours, where I received 'C's in both Ochem 1 & 2 (which was a shock to me as until that point I had received only 'A's and 'B's). I chose to retake both courses, and received an 'A' and a 'B' in both courses respectively the second time around.

If you received a 'D' the first time, trying to find an accelerated organic chem course just doesn't make any sense. Nor does taking both classes in one semester. It makes a lot more sense just to do it right. If you received a 'D', do you honestly think you'll do a whole lot better if you try to take it in HALF the amount of time?? For med school, you'd want to aim for an 'A' or at least a 'B' in ochem, so it is senseless to take it again and get anything lower. I understand the restlessness and desire to save time-- that is exactly what I did during my undergrad years. I took 18-23 units most terms while working 30 hours per week (graduated with 220 units total, of which 87 were science-- which is WAY more than schools require). But guess what? Because of all the 'rush' I received a 3.6 non-science GPA and 3.15 science GPA-- which doesn't reflect my abilities at all. I grew up always being told I was a genius, and I know if I had been more realistic about my work/class load, I could have been admitted to a great med school by now, but instead now because of my low science GPA, I have to take another 20 post-bacc science units and get a 4.0 to raise my GPA (as if all my excessive undergrad science units weren't enough)!! I'd feel lucky to get into any US med school at all. If I had just done well the first time and not tried to rush through things, I'd actually have saved time in the long run!

So if you get my drift... from my own personal experience (and regrets), I can only suggest you do things right, rather than rush through them and not acheive what you want. Even if it takes an extra year.... fine.... just do it right. Good luck.

As far as the comment about retaking it in community college goes, I'd always stay away from taking medical pre-requisite courses in community college. They are not regarded as highly as university courses. Maybe if you are set on going to a Caribbean school, they might be fine with that-- but if you have any interest in going to a US med school (or even think you might want to apply to one later), I'd strongly dissauge you from taking a class at a community college. That's why I previously suggested you take a regular class and just do it well, and not try to find an accelerated course.
