Hey,

I see alot on these forums about Russian Med schools but no one on here seems to have mentioned anything about the medical schools in central asia. Does anyone know anything about them? I'm actually a student in Kyrgyzstan at the International University of Kyrgyzstan, International School of Medicine.

(International University of Kyrg (http://iuk-ism.on.kg/))
(Medical Program Abroad (http://www.medicalprogramabroad.com))

I plan on coming back to the US and practicing here so if anyone can give me any kind of guidance. I'd appreciate it very much. Anything like whether I'd be better off transferring to a med school in the Carribeans (or if that's even possible). Or the things I should be looking out for and building up on throughout my medical schooling career.

Any advice would be helpful!

Well I just finished my first year and now I'm back in the US for the summer (this is where I live). This university didn't have any pre-medicine requirements. It accepts students straight out of high school. Which is how it basically works with all the Medical schools in Asia.

Not all the medical schools in asia are like that. I'm a malaysian and school from countries like singapore require a pre-uni qualifications such as alevels, sam etc. Anyway..med schools in the carribean if im not wrong needs such qualifications. Mostly they want is IB. Well..if u wanna practice in the US all you have to do is pass the USMLE exam after u finished your medical education.
