"So this week has been an interesting week so far! We had 4 exams yesterday, so it was pretty crazy! Anyways, most of the exams were well-written, so that was cool!

The classrooms here in Willemstad are now shaping up to be pretty good, like they filled the classrooms with the new desks, so it's like a relatively stylish environment now!

Oh yeah, today they banned smoking in the World Trade Center, Curacao, so we'll see how long that ban actually lasts! I heard like a couch or something caught on fire so that's why they put the ban into immediate effect.

The classes that I like the most right now are Pathology and Pharmacology, because they're taught in a really straightforward and high yield manner. We had tests yesterday in those two subjects, and actually the test helped us appreciate the subject even more than before we took the test. So that's always a nice sign, especially for the two courses which are supposed to be the toughest in Med Skool!"

I don't understand what is wrong with you guys... I am completely unbiased here... but, if a student from say Harvard were to say the same thing that this guy just said... you would be like... "wow that was so insightful"... do you really have nothing better to do than to come here and bash these people?

Now in my opinion, these people probably will not be able to practice in the US, however, it is a big world, and news flash to everyone... the US is not the only place in the world with sick people.

How the student know is HY, if have not taken the USMLE?
USMLE is more logic than straight memorization.

The US isnt the only place w/ sick people, I agree. But the VAST majority of carib med students want to practice there. Also, an idiot is an idiot at any school. Just because our president went to Yale doesnt mean he is smart, there is plenty of evidence to the contrary. If you read the students blog, you must laugh. At first he was all gung ho for CMU, now it seems he may be realizing the error of his ways. Well, atleast they have the b-ball nets.

Actually, I question the need for a post like this trying to make the "exam" sound so dreamy. Where are the flower petals and aromatic candles? Any string quartets playing Vivaldi?

If there is no grumbling after an exam, then I question the existance of said exam.

i work at harvard. havard med students dont use terms like "skool" "hi yeild" and blog about being annoyed about smoking being banned. And even if they did I dont think people are so gullible to be so swayed that these are great or poor insights based on if the student is a harvard vs sgu vs cmu student. and more to the point jerald, many here are well familiar with this character, not this one post. Read through his blog and check out his sgu and cmu youtube videos, his posts here, then come back and tell me anyone would seem them differently if he were a harvard student.
