I want to know whats wrong with applying to Med school once you finish your pre-reqs during your undergrad. Like what are the consequences? and what are the benefits ? I dont see the benefit of staying around and finishing the undergrad once you have what it takes . I think once you have the knowledge you should be capable to handle the curriculum of medical school.

Depends on when you finish your pre-reqs. But aside from that..
(1) Apparenty some states want you to have an undergrad degree
(2) Your application will be competing with those who probably have good grades and lot more credits and coursework than you do
(3) They probably have more extracurriculars with the more time they spent in college than you did
(4) They'd like to see that you can complete and follow things through
And probably a whole slew of other things as well.
Oh, and the pre-reqs really have little to do with medical school or its curriculum. All they do is help you to understand the scientific method, and a basic understanding of the underlying mechanisms of a very small part of your education.
