I was wondering if anyone was just at the PASS program in Illinois, and if you know from experience how it compares to the Kaplan program. I would like to know if it is worth my time to go there. I failed the step 1 in May and have been studying again, since. I went to the Kaplan retreat for 6 weeks before my first exam. Should I go to another Kaplan retreat or go to PASS? Any and all suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Did you take any NBME's before you took the step? The NBME's are the closest thing to the real test.

Can you describe how your prepared and what you think you could of done differently because this can help others who are also preparing for this exam. Good luck and God bless. I'll be going to pass program in Oct 1st, so I will let you know how it goes and I did kaplan live lecture already.

I did not really think it was that great for the money. Coming from kaplan, I felt the presentations were not very orderly. Also I just did not think the teachers were professional, and the jokes they say were distasteful. They barely cover Pharm, only some of the major drugs, but they do a good job of teaching physiology. They do a great job of teaching the EKG, which my exam had 3 questions on. I ended up passing the exam, but pass didnt really help me, but what did help me was that the time I spent in Champaigne to study outside of Pass. You can go study at the U of IL library which is open 24 hours, which was nice. But there sure are some hot girls in Champainge for motivation...
Good luck...
