Hey everyone,
I had a couple of questions about applying....
A bit of a background....
I am registered to take the MCAT in September. I expect(crossing my fingers here, that I will do well on it... I've been scoring 33 - 35 on my practice tests)
I have been out of school for a while, mostly working, and have a diploma of college studies from 6 years ago, (DEC in Quebec for any of you who are familiar with it) that is about 55 credits although it will most likely be counted as 30 credits and a GPA of about 2.4 and from January I have 15 credits in university studies as an independent student(Not registered in a degree program) with a GPA of 3.6 and I'll be taking another 15 credits in the fall
So my Q's
1. When is the best time to apply for January... should I wait until after my MCAT scores come out(mid-October) since my GPA is weak or should I apply ASAP?
2. Would 1 LOR from work and 1 LOR from volunteering be sufficient? I don't really know of any advisory committees at my university and I wouldn't really feel comfortable approaching a teacher...
3. Are there any specific things I should be focusing on to better myself as an applicant?
Thanks for all your help everyone!
