within the year?
does that mean this academic year, or year year?
if you want to be down there in august, apply yesterday (or as soon as possible :P )
the spots are filling up quick. saba doesn't even require mcat, though this will change in the near future. with a 3.2 gpa in biology, getting your degree soon i assume, then saba should be a go. if you look under the "sticky" for sept 2004 entering class at saba, you'll see that your gpa is average compared to the students accepted. but they tell you "to apply as early as possible"
Why don't you call the Gardner office and ask them how long they will keep your application on file, and if you can update it after your mcat scores are released. I'm just suggesting this because it sounds like you have a decent gpa and hospital experince.
Also, although the mcat is highly recommended for Saba, it is not required
good luck

Hello mjgilbert7,
I agree with Dish, you have a great background and perhaps Saba wont even need you MCAT marks to accept you (based on the fact that the rest of your application is remarkable). You should call the Gardner office and perhaps ask them how their criteria changes when an applicant has or does not have their MCAT scores.
Hope this helps

I don't mean to dampen your spirits, but you might want to consider trying to get into a US school first. Unless you have some other concerns, I believe you could probably improve your grades a bit and certainly do better on the MCAT than you think.
If you're really in a hurry to get to Saba, though, I would seriously recommend you call Gardner and talk to Bernice. She is extremely pleasant, helpful and well-informed. She can guide yoou through the whole thing.
Best of Luck!
