I checked BBB website to see if there are any complaints against MUA-Belize. I found 1 report against the school in May 2007 because they did not refund tuition.

nice try! try looking up nearly EVERY MEDICAL SCHOOL and you will find comments and complaints, maybe the schools did not refund because the person was not entitled to it? some students decide to leave, and one day wake up and demand refunds, although proper protocol and procedures were never followed. i speak from what my collegues told me during rotations, these questions have to be asked, before you implement and accuse. please, make noise where it counts. do not single out one school, please be inclusive of ALL other schools in the region. it is only fair if you post on all forums with each school and there unresolved issues.

so there are rules now on what you can say about a school? how can a person post about unresolved issues at another school, if they don't even go to that school? i think people would post about the problems they have with their school.

I've tried repeatedly to get them to call me and they would not.

I checked other schools like AUA, MUA (Nevis), etc. I understand that a student has to follow protocol to get a refund but so does the school. When the school stops following its own protocol then students take action through BBB or lawsuits. This helps other students be careful with their money.

Well, there will soon be another complaint to the BBB.
My wife has been waiting for her promised refund since May

You are not the only one who has been threatened but don't buy it. It is all bluff and they have not got a legal leg to stand upon. Unless all students complain to the BBB in Belize and also in the USA (remember there were offices in Wisconsin and in Massachusetts) then people like your wife will continue to lose money to these unethical people.
