If you are starting at a University - you have a blank sheet of paper to create a new you. Don't let your past hold you back. Study hard and do well. Also read what has been posted in this forum. Only do the pre-reqs for medical school. Don't go and become a science major unless you are super duper brainy - even then it is difficult to do well. Most schools pre-req's are two biology with lab(intro), two chemistry's with lab, two physics with labs's and two organics with labs. There are plenty of tutors - use them in every course you take to get A's. There are more English majors and political science majors in medical schools than chemistry and biology majors. Also take psychology classes and lots of English classes as that they teach critical thinking and reading skills which are critical to doing well on the MCAT. Work toward getting in a US school.
