About the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research

I applied through them this week and sent an application to them this Tuesday. I was told they would receive it next week Friday. Does anyone know how long a response from them would take, and what are the procedures for wanting to go to a school of your choice? Also, is it too late to be expecting to get accepted for the 2007/2008 school year? I only applied now because I just found out about them this week. Personally I want to apply for the University of Constanta Medical School.

My son applied to Constanta and has passed the initial review. Can't send money though. Innaccurate info and moneybookers -like PayPal but UK - is proving difficult to fund. Application ends 31st July. They then take all applications to Ministry. Second round ends Sept 1st and only if space available, however that app will forward to 2008.

Which agency are you using. We have used Student Dreams since that was the only one available at the time of our google search.

Also, since I have seen posts regarding still teaches in English but Sibiu does not.

Well I'm not using an agency actually. I've applied directly to the Romanian Ministy of Education and Research. Well, it is the application to apply to them anyway. accidentaly i found the name of sibiu in one of the responses. If u are a foreigner, do not apply to sibiu, it is way below standards no matter wat they say in their site presentation.Im a local and i regret im in the faculty...anywhere else would b better...like bucharest or cluj...forget abt sibiu

I applied through an agent because all the websites I searched said the university is working through agents now...little did I know it was set up by the agents themselves :(
I didn't apply to any particular uni, but I am guessing they will try and get everyone thats applied to them to Oradea.
I was told the acceptance letter takes anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months in which case ill be waiting till the end of october. Hopefully it comes through before then or I might miss out on this year

I've been waiting for 3 weeks now, but I hear that people are still being accepted so maybe we should just wait and see what happens?
I'm from New Zealand, way on the other side of the world lol. Where are you from?

i am from israel, 2.5 hrs fly from romania. i hope that within next week we get our acceptance letter, though the academic year already began. how did you know that ppl still being accepted? do you know somebody here in romania so he can help you to find apartment, registre to the university etc?

After reading through the other threads, I think people are still being accepted. I don't know anyone there, so I guess I will figure it out when I get there lol. Do you know anyone? I'm kinda worried about finding an apartment though
