So don't have first hand knowledge. Do do a search. Most of these, if not all of them, have been answered already several times on the forum.

1. you might as well write Step 2. If you want to enter carms you'll be asked to write the MCC EE and QE I. Check carms website for details on eligibility to enter the Canadian match. CaRMS (http://www.carms.ca)
2. if you don't get a residency in Canada, you can do a residency in the US, and be able to work in Canada.
3. Canadian exams are:
a) Medical Council of Canada EE, QE Parts 1 and 2. Medical Council of Canada / Le Conseil médical du Canada (http://www.mcc.ca)
b ) either the specialty exam given by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, www.rcpsc.medical.org (http://www.rcpsc.medical.org) or, the family medicine exam given by the College of Family Physicians of Canada www.cfpc.ca (http://www.cfpc.ca)
Note: Ontario licensing authority recognizes US credentials for licensing purposes The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario Homepage (http://www.cpso.on.ca) (see 'physician registration')
4. Most will tell you no, it is not easy because there are so few spots available to IMGs.
