Hi so as of right now I do not have a pre-med advisor, but Im a Physiology major...anyways I'm a little concerned at how my first year is going to look on my transcript...

chem 1 - B
intro to chem research - B+
chem 2 - A
calc 1 - C+
calc 2 - A
Bio 1 - B+
Bio 2 - A
physics 1 - B/B- (I'm taking this course right now, and my results come in next week)

I still have organic 1&2, and physics 2 left

& I also wanted to know, does it look bad when you retake a class and do better in it the second time, because I had to retake calc 2 in order to get the A...

my gpa right now is about a 3.3, but I know for a fact it will go up - Ive still got 3 years of college left, I just dont know what I should be doing besides getting A's in my classes and volunteer work...

help, someone:(?

-- Thanks :)

Why would it look bad if you do a retake and get an A in it?

You are worrying too much... your grades are okay... if you keep it up and try not getting anymore C's, I am sure you can get into States.

Besides volunteer and school work, try... hmm.. research laboratory, shadowing physician, join AMSA etc.
