A 32 year old male patient comes to the office complaining of erectile dysfunction, he states that he does not take any medications and those not suffer from any disease.
The patient is 5’9 and weights 230 pounds (Obese) , his blood pressure is ok, the lab work finds:
Hematocrit 48
Hemoglobin 16
Glucose 340
WBC 6,000

What is the most likely Dx?
1-Hypertension
2-Kidney Failure
3-Testicular torsion:roll:
4-Diabetes Mellitus
5-Type A personality

The only lab value out of whack is the glucose. So...that would lead it be 4-diabetes. I believe you would need a bun and/or creat to detect possible kidney failure.

You are correct, I have seen several cases of ED and the patient was either hypertensive or diabetic and they did not knew.
