IAU Campus and Island Life

I am a College Senior looking at Medical schools in the Caribbean. I am very interested in IAU but I have yet to see any pictures of the campus. I was wondering what IAU facilities are like. Also, what is the island like? Are there many restaurants/bars? A movie theater?

There are about 7 or so restaurants near the school, few hotels, 2 grocery stores, drug store, 2 gym's with weights and treadmills, basketball court, tennis court, and we have a pool table and air hockey table in school.

But in Castries (one hour north of Viuex Fort) there are many more things...


upscale restaurants like thai, indian, italian, etc
hotels and resorts on the beach
mall with clothes, shoes, groceries,
duty-free shopping with name brand watches, alcohol, jewelry
nice movie theater with 8 screens showing brand new movies.
water sports - jet ski, boating, etcAnd half hour west, in Soufiere there is:

very upscale resorts
very upscale restruants
snorkling, scuba diving
botanical gardens
zip line
drive in volcano

The scenic spots in Saint Lucia are breathtakingly beautiful. In fact in one Caribbean tourism survey, critics have rated Saint Lucia on top for its simple charm and picturesque landscapes. Prices of commodities are also way cheaper compared to the other islands.

IAU has gone through a lot of improvements and will continuously improve because the President of IAU, Mr. Nair, has a good vision and good intentions of making IAU an excellent medical college.

I know the school is in Vieux Fort, but where precisely is the school located ? Is it even on the image linked to below?

I am trying to GoogleEarth the school to get a better feel for the location.

The school is actually slightly west of the red dot that you see in the image of the close up of the airport.

For all of you concerned with the location of the school...here you go, and might I add, there we have a fantastic 'scenic' view of the airport from our library (even Fromers won't tell you that).
