CC: depressed Q

[GFLIP]

32 yo white male has CC of feeling depressed his entire life. He says that he is still able to function, but he says he never feels really good for more than a wk or two at a time. He denies SI/HI (suicidal / homicidal ideation). He denies any psychosis. He reports his self esteem is chronically low. What is his DX?

cyclothymia... doesn't seem to be severe enough to be bipolar II

f. dysthymia is chronic depression that lasts at least 2 years... no discrete episodes - depression is most of the time.
