After the abrupt move from WI to MA, the Massachusetts office is announcing that it is closing. They are saying all records will go to Belize. As per previous posts, current and former students would do well to obtain several copies of their transcripts signed with the school seal and look for an organization that can certify an original. Having original transcripts is critical to licensing in most states.

INFORMATION OF INTEREST

MEDICAL STUDENTS

Federation Credentials Verification Service (http://www.fsmb.org/fcvs_program/cvrhome.htm) (FCVS)FCVS was established in September 1996 to provide a centralized, uniform process for state medical boards to obtain a verified, primary source record of a physician's core medical credentials. This service is designed to lighten the workload of credentialing staff and reduce duplication of effort by gathering, verifying and permanently storing the physician's credentials in a central repository at the Federation's offices. FCVS obtains primary source verification of medical education, postgraduate training, examination history, board action history and identity. The Federation collects and publishes the most complete data available on physician licensing and disciplinary boards, including their licensing requirements and disciplinary functions. It maintains a resource library of the medical practice acts and regulations under which its member boards operate.
Benefits of Using FCVS
Physicians who complete the verification process establish a permanent, lifetime portfolio of primary-source verified credentials—allowing quick, easy and inexpensive access to medical credentials. These documents can be used throughout a physician’s career for state licensure, hospital privileges, employment and professional memberships. This service is especially valuable to those physicians graduating from medical school outside the U.S. or Canada, where verification is often time-consuming, costly and difficult.
Membership
The Federation is a national non-profit association with membership consisting of 70 medical licensing authorities in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the U.S Virgin Islands. The Canadian provincial medical licensing authorities hold affiliate membership in the Federation.
CHECK OUT THE FEDERATION OF STATE MEDICAL BOARDS SITE www.fsmb.org/ (http://www.fsmb.org/) FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Wow! (Laughing at the lies this person will actually stoop to...) Dear "BillyBill" (f) - I have never been a student at your school, or at the reasonable alternative of MUA Nevis. Period. Went elsewhere alltogether. Oh, and I recruit for no school ( I have few posts - which can be seen by all value md'ers and - none of them involve influencing students to go to or attend one school over another.

I do , however know know several of your former instructors personally, and a group of students who left with them or just after those same instructors left.

Your school is floundering once again in the same old cycle...This school has no financing, no medical connections in the states, no rela rotations -students doing junk rotations (NOT ACGME) and no future.

n.

I represent no specific school and have no other interest than to warn students

My apologies for any unintended infraction of the terms of service here on ValueMD and/or offense to anyone - this certainly was never my intention. Continued well wishes to ALL with their studies - I look forward to meeting some of you in the near future as colleagues and medical doctors!

Anthony

So, does anyone know the whereabouts of an office, whether transcripts are being given to students etc? Right now there is only an 800 number where a single female with limited info answers, sometimes. It is all hush hush, what is this all about??
