Great article. Reflects our thoughts that more spots should be open for BC
residents to get into med school and more spaces available for internationally trained BCers to come home and work. Nice to see UBC finally opening more spots but seems like they are 15-20 yrs behind.

I liked the stat in your link about needing to train another 140+ docs just to brake even. Also, the ethical side of foreign recruitment was very interesting. I know a lot of docs in Canada originally form South Africa and know why they left but its so sad to think of the shortages remaining there and in other developing nations.
