Well I was taught it was B for like asians because those are common in Asia and places outside USA, while C is more common in USA. So intravenous drug users from USA gets type C. My friend was going USMLE World questions and the answer said it was B. And you said that Goljan also said B, so I guess B is correct.

Most common cause for hepatitis c is blood transfusion.
