its not like either you do the whole thing or just nothing at all. do some questions (something that you like or you dont - 50q/1hr) and how you recall FA material while answering those questions might give you an answer. For more info on usmlerx, theres a sticky for this.
Learning methods can be step processes.
1 method) you study something and you write the test
2 method) you study something and do questions (active recall of the information you studied enhances your memory.. ALOT) then you write the test.
3 method) you study. do questions (active recall). learn the art of the question ie how its asked, etc. then study again - perspective might change a bit this time. then write the test.
4..etc, etc.
so the question comes down to what qbank is most representative and makes you think as you would have to on step1. you will strengthen your knowledge on FA, but the ultimate goal should be step1. When it comes to learning from questions, many reserve that type of studying for step1 directly. I would take up FA cases and problems if you want to make your FA stick than usmlrx.. but thats jus me.

Based on what I have gather I will conclude that if you read 10,000 pages it does not garanty you that you will pass the exam, You can do 10,000 questions and it does not garanty you that you will pass the exam.
The best way is to study a subject or system and then do questions about that subject or system and the read again and repeat the process, and this method will give a higher probability of passing the test.

method 3 at its best.

If it were me, I'd put my time into USMLEworld while reading FA along the way. The two together = success
