Greetings!
I was accepted back in 2005 w/out an MCAT. I heard that's difficult to do now and am curious if anyone here has been accepted for this Fall or Spring '08 w/out having sat for the MCAT.
Thanks in advance for the info...

why do you need the info for? when you got accepted w/out the MCATs, you refused to come here, or did you come and go? what is the point? if you are at school now, talk to the people...byw, I am one of the nicer ones-b/c I am answering this question

You seem very aggravated at his question. He's just curious. No offense but I wouldn't consider you to be 'one of the nicer ones' but that's just my subjective opinion.
To the poster: I spoke to one of the Admissions counselors and she told me basically that if you come from an established school and have the requisite experience they are looking for then in some cases you do not need an MCAT. I hope that helps, otherwise call Gardner.

MorefunMD: thanks for the reply. Just to clear things up, I do understand that the MCAT is not currently considered a requirement for acceptance. Furthermore, I know how to do my own research and have inquired w/ admissions w/out direct replies. To make a long story short. I was accepted the first semester of '05 then denied acceptace for later that year; the new application was free of any changes. I did in fact contact admissions to surrender my seat, so I don't think it was a bitterness issue. (...or so I hope...) Reason for not attending was financial. I later secured a loan but...
RuseMD: Thank you kindly for your reply. I was hoping to have some people from the upcoming semester provide some info... I have to assume that most have indeed taken the MCAT. I'm not in my 20's anymore, taking the MCAT will be very time consuming as I will have to "re-learn" a great deal while maintaining FT employment.
Anyone w/out MCAT coming into this Fall/Spring?
Thanks again! :)

After I realized that you are indeed intended to apply and come to SABA in very near future, my best advice to you would be to call to Gardner to find out. It really saves time for you since you work FT and you are not in your 20s anymore, and you have to be practical. MCAT is either required or not by Admin, no gray ares....Also, you would not be screwed with a wrong info you receive from people in this forum. Afterall, this is an "unofficial" site. Best of luck..

AJ,
I was accepted to Saba a month ago for the Sept. 07 semester without an MCAT. My boyfriend was also accepted for Sept. 07 without an MCAT. We both graduated with an honors degree in a science field, had laboratory research experience and competitive GPAs. I also had some clinical experience. I think if you have a strong background in the sciences and a decent GPA they look past the fact you haven't taken the MCAT.
Hope this helps!

I was accepted to Saba for Jan'08 without MCAT, I had some clinical experience, lot of extracurriculars like varsity teams, and organizations at my university. GPA was above average but nothing to brag about! Overall, I think they look at the whole applicant, not just gpa. Show that you have the passion, and have done something about it, you should have a good chance getting in.

honestly, you should be just fine. i had no mcat, and my gpa wasn't good either. most important thing is to show them you have the ability to pay tuition.
