I think there are very few states which will give you a license with 0 years of ACGME training. I can't think of any off hand. Even if you could get a license, you would not be able to get payment from many, if any, insurance companies.....most require you be at least board eligible.

As IMG,I do not believe there are states will license you after only MD degree and USMLE completion.
Also even if you are US grad and got license, what would you do with it?general practice no longer exist and its called now Family medicine and require 3 yrs training.
I have seen friends love for example pediatric cardiology and did unapproved fellowship [hard to get area]but such training useful in general pediatrics work and not peds cardiology practice.
SHORT CUTS WILL ALWAYS BACKFIRE

can we write in a logical, rational and coherent english language sentence

Is that what you tell your patients who cannot speak english very well? If so, wow, some bedside manners! He has a legit question, the member came here for help not criticism. I am not picking up a fight or anything, just reminding all (myself included) that our duty of helping others and giving advise should exceed our ability to gramatically correct and put down others.

Thanks
