What RL has failed to point out (which I think is pretty important) is those pictures are not all of the medical school. CMU functions in rented out space in a much larger complex. So, most of that is just pictures of the complex.

So much for spending millions of dollars on state of the art facilities! They rented space and even then, it's not very nice. One lecture hall (I guess it's a lecture hall) has no desks at the chairs, one has folding tables, and one is an auditorium...probably not even used by the med school.

I've seen AUC's facilities and have seen pictures of Ross and SGU. All 3 are much nicer!

So where, exactly, does look like a rat cage? I'm not sure what the outside of Ross looks like, but AUC and SGU for sure have great campuses.

sure looks like the world trade center curacao building - a conference and convention center and the clarion hotel right next door.

not one photo indicates that it is part of a university. i can walk around as well and take exterior photos and call it this, that and the other thing.
if these were campus photos, were are the pictures of the labs, cadavers, etc? why is everything of desks, chairs, hotel convenience store?

so there is a sign on a desk that sez CMU - big deal? why are there so money middle aged people walking around in the photos? where are the students?

too many questions to ask but it was a nice try

if you see 'dj siva's first video - there was a lab - albeit something that looked small to be holding classes in. of course - they only have 12 students, so.....

I've also noticed there are no projectors in any of the pictures. does that mean no one uses a/v materials? (or maybe they were locked away somewhere when the person took the pics)

Cheers,

Silenthunder

Actually...that somewhat impressive looking lab in DJ Siva's video was not even their lab! It was a lab somewhere nearby that they were just visiting. It has been mentioned before that CMU doesn't have their own lab (similar to how they don't have their own classrooms, i suppose).

I'm just curious, but how do you expect a school, that started 3 months ago, to own their own campus? I mean, if you spend millions on liabilities (including property) even before a business officially begins, it classifies as a "bad business plan."

Thank You Ultron for your opinion. You are absolutely right. I think Mr. Apple won’t be satisfied even if we have bought the building for 30 million dollars. This is a perfect example of a person that is doing negative comments no matter what.

Well, if one of the school's main selling points is its ultra modern "campus" it should be pointed out that the building is not their "campus" but rented office space. Not a product of incredible-bankrolling.

Yes, most Caribbean med schools start off in a shack somewhere. But a) There are plenty of firmly established ones that are in buildings decidely not shacks and b) anyone can rent office space in a snazzy building, this doesn't say anything about the school.

So when I see their ad flashing they're the "3rd largest campus" and their huge auditorium space, it's kind of misleading.

It will not be pointed out that CMU's campus is rented office space because it is not. You are just copying incorrect information about our building being rented, which is misleading. We are affiliated with CIU/the owner of WTC/ therefore the entire campus is for our us so advertisement CMU as 3rd largest medical campus in the Caribbean is correct and whoever is jealous or not happy with it, let him be.

Hi
Friends!!!
It is nice to ask questions to clear doubts. It is nicer to reply.
New caribbean schools are growing, catching up,getting patronage from Government of the islands---Because there is tremendous students' support.
Island Governments are proactive to organize enlistment in WHO,IMED,ECFMG.
In return,New Caribbean Medical Schools are advertizing for the tourists to come in the islands.
New caribbean schools will survive all antagonisms from the Big-B's representatives.

I'm confused now. The mod is saying something else whilst the school official is refuting that. So, rlewkowski, CMU owns the property?

3rd largest medical campus in the Caribbean is correct
3rd largest based on what? Area? Volume? The world trade center is only a 150k square foot (= 3 acres) complex. Even if you do own the entire building, there are many schools in the Caribbean which own more space. The only way we'll really know what kind of facilities that this school has, is if an outsider snapped some photographs of the place and what exactly students do here.

SOE got the point...you advertise your state of the art facilities and huge investments into the school, but you're really just using space in another building. Whether you "own" it or not is irrelevant. And from the pictures, it's not even that nice of a space! It's certainly doesn't appear to be technologically up to date. As I said before, AUC, SGU, SMU and Ross all have nicer facilities. I haven't seen any others, but i'm pretty sure there are more that are nicer.

You are making an awful stretch saying you have the 3rd largest medical campus in the caribbean. I'm sure that you are not utilizing most of the world trade center specifically for your students. So even if they're free to roam around the whole thing, i'd hardly say the whole thing is your medical campus.

Once again, you are being misleading. That is why I, and everyone else, continue to post on this forum. You are an admin, so people who don't know any better will think that your posts are accurate. Unfortunately, they have been less than 100% accurate, at best. So, I feel it necessary to check up on you, if you will, to make sure prospective students are getting the correct and complete information.

Once again, does this even mean anything? What is wrong with you and how do you ever expect to be able to communicate with patients? And, could you please tell me what a Big-B school is.

you will have to wait 48 hours for a response, then another 24 hours for him to get consultation from the "legal department" who set up the campus agreement with ciu. then, expect a vague answer that doesnt answer your question by tuesday evening.

more of a "just so you know" thing...

'weather' is spelled wrong in the "quick links" bar along the right hand side of the page...

its a good thing doctors handwriting are typically too messy to read ;)
