This is from medscape, and I think it will be nice to share it:rolleyes:

Anna Burkhead -- I have now finished week two of about five weeks studying for the USMLE Step 1. If you’re counting, that means I’m not quite halfway through the study period. In some ways, that is a blessing, because I feel like I have a long way to go! But on the other hand, I am going stir-crazy.
To ease my own pain and to honor all of the other students in the world studying for exams, here are my “Top 10 Signs You’ve Been Studying Too Long”… in no particular order…

1. You get excited about switching pen colors.
2. Your roommate comes home from a weekend away and says, “Surprise, you’re still sitting there! Have you changed clothes at least?”
3. Your mom calls and after talking for a few minutes says, “I’ll call back tomorrow and maybe you’ll be in a better mood.”
4. Unless you turn off your internet connection, you check email/cnn/gossip site/website of choice every 5 minutes.
5. It’s summer and 85 degrees outside but your bathing suit is still in winter hibernation.
6. Your middle finger starts to get that weird indentation on it from writing too much.
7. You can tell what time it is by hearing the squeaky school bus brakes outside the window (7:40am and 3:35pm).
8. Every single coffee mug is dirty in the dishwasher.
9. Your apartment is either really clean (because study break = manic tidying session) or looks like a tornado ran through it.
10. You sit still so long that reading about decubitus ulcers and DVTs becomes a little more relevant.

Any of these sound familiar? Did I leave anything out? Good luck to everyone out there taking exams right now. It’s one mile marker closer to your destination!

lol.. nice.. let's see what i can think of..

in no particular order..

1) you feel constipated and dehydrated even though you got water bottles next to you.
2) your REM is longer than usual and thoughts are medical related
3) you laugh every now and then while listening to ipod/cd (no one knows its goljan and thinks youre mental)
4) its dark in the morning and dark at night.. and you dont get to see the change in btw.
5) when someone tells you they have headache, you rush to talk about vasomotor changes, pathway of nsaids, and even CYP450.
6) your mood directly correlates with whether you get a UW question right or wrong.
7) you visit facebook more frequently, but claim you're too busy to write (mails too)
8) whenever possible, you use studying as an excuse and demand things(ex. making your own coffee)
9) you flip through FA just to see all the highlights and annotations and be proud of what you have done (even leak a smile)
10) You make deals with God (or w/ devil like SOE did) so that you get 99 on step1.

.. good luck y'all.

-When you eat out, you sit in the same place study like for 2 hours after you have eat.
When you go and you see some one sitting there you just get angry.

open up itunes.. right click on the file and go to "convert to AAC file". it takes about few min. each. you can select all of them and do it all together. jus leave it alone for about 2 hrs or so.. and come back.. update n voila.

you chk valuemd every so often to see any updated threads about Step 1!

ha ha ha... tell me about it. Thank god for img.. - you can count on him for several new q's, updated info on step 1, numerous advice and even laid back posts such as this one. VMD = break time. The way i see it, its better than criss angel on youtube no? tommy would agree.

jus to prove we really do get stuff out of clicking on vmd:

when exercising/exertion.. Remember to SWITCH the "i" and "e"

inspiration - diaphragm + external intercostal
expiration - internal intercostal + abdominal wall (rectus ab., obliques, transverse ab.)

so.. when you do sit up (abs) next time.. hyperventilate. (it also turns out that we're compensating for the acidosis.

#11 - manage to turn any conversation into something medically related.

tommy would agree.

I think he would, I miss the guy lets just wait till he shows up again:D

Another one:

You start giving medical advise to people, even if they have not ask for one:rolleyes:

You think, what would Goljan or Tommy say?;)

You see a guy play baskeball and you are thinking in your head what muscles he is using to trow the ball.

i actually got beat up by all my friends.. :(

more practical one is that whenever you see symptoms on someone while going to a mall or grocery store.. you try to dx what they have and try to discuss it with the person you go with.
