Hey,
I am in university and applying to med school. What exactly is a pre-medical advisory commitee? I need a letter of evaluation from the pre-med committee for the American university of Antigua. I already have recommendation letters from professors.

Some schools have a commitee that will review/write letters of recommendations for their premedical students. Some schools don't. If your school doesn't have this, I'm sure AUA will accept individual letters. Best to phone and verify.

They are a group of professors who get together and write a nasty report about you and skunk your chances of getting into medical school. That's how it worked where I went to get my post bac at Georgia State University. well now that I have had my .02 soap box. It is a report on you by committee. Someone who does not like you on the "committee" can deep six you and you have no recourse. Most people hate these "pre-medical advisory committee's". Better to have prof's & friends who like you send LOR's and avoid these beasts...
