Hi all. Along with many other prospective medical students, I'm considering Medicine in Russia. Is it as bad as everyone says? If former or current students could post their experiences for me, I would be very appreciative. I'm considering MMA, Moscow State Uni and PFU. Any opinions? Would I have a better life in the English Medium or should I learn Russian and join the Russian Medium? If you suggest not studying in Russia, then where? It has to be cheap and good. Learning languages is not a problem. Thanx

Look into the Czech Rep. You can study for free if you study in Czech and the educational system is much better. It's not that studying in Russia is bad... you can get a good education there, but you'll have to put up with a lot of cr@p and a lot of corruption. And I definitely would advise against studying in English.

You might be able to study in Hungary for free too (in Hungarian), not sure on that though.
