What do you guys think is the better review program for somebody whose basic sciences are very weak? Basically, I have about 7-8 months to study for the exam and I am starting now but I know that my basic science background is very weak therefore I will be studying to learn alot of the material and not just reviewing. Based on that, do you guys think the better program is Pass or Kaplan?

7-8 months?!! WOW! Well, I'm not a big fan of Kaplan anymore. More than half of their material was quite frankly useless. They're very key-word happy, and really just cover the mere basics while being a lot more wordy and charging you more for it.
I'd pick up some good review books, First Aid especially, and buy a subscription to USMLEworld and make sure you do all those questions in-depth several times over.

From what I've heard from other students I would say kaplan is better. I heard that the pass program has one guy teaching all the subjects. How can one guy possibly be able to teach all subjects well?

He must be very special:rolleyes:.
Now on the serious note, about PASS program I personally know several people that fail the test did this course and PASS with good grades, also I know about some people that have had some really bad experience with the program, that they do not recomend it to nobody. So right there 50/50.
About kaplan retreat I have heard alot of good things, but you need to go almost ready for the test and then take the retreat.
USMLE WORLD, is amazing I have seen people only doing UW and FA and race theire NBME score at least 40 NBME points in 1 month, wile others see from 50-80 NBME point race in one moth, and that is REALLY HARD TO DO.

Yes, 7-8 months..........maybe about 6 hours a day. I really feel that I need that much time to prepare for the exam because I don't think I have a good base at all from my basic sciences. I'm using First Aid and will use BRS for Physio along with Goljan audio for Path. Also, I am looking for the best way to really attack the material to get a good understanding. I feel like I'm not making too much progress right now.
