For those who have it and who have had to use it, what is your opinion of ACE American Insurance?

For those who do not know of it, ACE is the accidental & sickness insurance group that SABA has included in their welcome packets.

We looked over the Saba insurance and it seemed a little expensive for a family. There are other companies out there, but I'm afraid you'll have to do an internet search. I do know of a company called IMG (oddly enough) which stands for International Medical Group (And NO, I am not an agent for this company 8) ). We went with them after figuring the best deductible/premium set-up.

If it is any comfort, local medical care is generally cheaper than in the US (including the average meds) and is of good quality (in my opinion). You should still have health insurance while you're here though (especially if you have to go off-island) and the school requires it during clinicals.
