Just took NBME form 3

Hi there, I just took NBME form 3 and scored a 540. I am not unhappy with that score, but I would still like to raise it. I am almost done with Usmle World and Kaplan Qbank. I have two weeks until the real deal. Anu suggestions for raising my score??

I say focus on your weakest subjects. If you're not scoring exceptionally well on behavioral & biostats, I say focus on that subject. A lot of students take that class lightly. 540 is still a very good score and I'll be happy with it! Can you share your study techniques w/ me, please. How long you've prepared for this test...how many hours/day etc? I was trying to read through Tommy's suggestions, but unfortunately those links are not working. Please help..

Thanks. Sure, total, I have a month to study. For the first two weeks, I studied everything in systems. I have been using First Aid as a guide.
If I am studying Renal, then I read the Renal chapter in First Aid. Then, I use Harrison's to fill in all the details and to clarify concepts. I know Harrison's is above and beyond what we have to know for Step 1, but it is really well written and for me ties things in away that other sources don't.

I also try to do at least 100 questions a day. Usmle World is great. After I do questions, I read everything that Usmle World writes in the explanation section. I do this for the questions I get right and wrong. Please let me know if you want more information!

can you please share your score with us...i mean when you started with kaplan qbank and USMLE world...what were you getting and how well are you doing now in USMLE world and Kaplan qbank. The reason why i ask is because i just took kaplan diagnostic exam (without any review...right after 4th semester) and i got (shameful---> 47%). I would like to know where did you stand and is there any hope for me.

50's on Qbank, now at 63-72, 50's on Uworld now at 64-74, so it looks like we started from the same place. I didn't take the kaplan diagnostic!
