I am originally from Louisiana and I know that Saba is able to do all of their clinicals in Louisiana so I am giving careful consideration to maybe transferring into Saba's clinicals if possible after 5th. Does anyone know someone who has done this personally? I'm really afraid of being the first to try something like this without someone as a model. I'm really just in the first "thinking about it" stage right now.

I don't know of anyone transferring to Saba, but I thought I heard if you score over 200 on step 1 you have a good chance especially coming from a good school like AUC.

AUC has no core rotations in the south, despite people from louisiana being one of, if not the highest percentage of students from any particular state. Being home, close to my family and long time girlfriend who is in grad school is important to me. But what must be done must be done I suppose, thanks for the advice guys.

I ahve never heard of it, BUT there is no harm in calling the school and finding out. Best of luck.

I don't know the details, but it is possible to transfer to Saba for clinicals. There was a student on a previous rotation that had been accepted for clinical sciences as a transfer.. Just call the school!!
take care,
