View Full Version : Now that CMU is here...
Now that a new medical school (Caribbean Medical University - they have their own forum) has opened up on the island, there is no good reason why this school (St. Martinus) cant compete cleanly and successfully.
To give you an idea how, may I suggest the following.
1. Management needs a complete attitude change.
2. Change your website. Spend some money and find a good creative web designer.
3. Stop talking about 150 years of tradition. Your med school started in 2003 according to IMED.
4. Lower your tuition and other associated costs drastically.
5. Invest more money into the infrastructure.
6. Realize that clean competition is good and will force you to improve.
I know this post is free unsolicited advice. But if you feel so inclined, you can send some big money my way -- then it wont be free.

Those who are about to fall into the trap of propaganda from a new
medical school and plan to transfer should carefully review the following facts.
Netherlands Antilles Court has issued final a conclusive ruling, in response to numerous appeals from Xavier lawyer that a student who transfers from one school to another, located within the NA territory, are not entitled to transcript until they pay compensation to the school they are transferring from. Prospective transferees better know that if they have spent even one semester with a school, they must submit original transcript from that school during the period of residency application and more important, during application for state licensing. In order to make quick bucks, a desperate new school will naturally fabricate stories to grab your money, but before falling into this trap you better think many times. No one knows this better than those who transferred from SJSM to Xavier.

Seeing that you are not really a student at sjsm, I suppose one should take this post as a warning from SJSM administration to SJSM students wishing to transfer that they should be prepare to face some roadblocks.
How do you know all this? Especially his home address in Chicago??
You should have compensated him more so he wouldnt have left and started a new school to compete with you.
BTW, you shouldnt write about deception when you are pretending to be a student.

Those who have transferred to CMU with a hope to become a doctor, did the CMU show them the license from Curacao Government (Charter) that would allow this entity to award medical degree? Did CMU ever present to any one a copy of the agreement with the Government of Curacao allowing them to operate a medical school? Did CMU ever show any proof of listing with WHO or even with IMED?. Did CMU ever show any one at any time a copy of an agreement with any hospital in USA or Canada that would allow them clinical training? Those who have transferred without investigating these simple basic facts should not fall for showey rented building, nice toilets, and awesome Indian food. All these will not give you access to residency and license. You do not and cannot know what is brewing behind this scam. Wake up before it is too late.

You should post this in the CMU forum -- it makes more sense there.
