Lost posted the thread on 18th May (last Friday) indicating that the lockdown occurred "earlier this week", ie, sometime between 14th May and 18th May. According to the school's website (I checked muamd.com AND mua.edu.bz) orientation and registration was scheduled for 14th May, and in ALL FIVE OF MY SEMESTERS at MUA Belize, classes started the VERY NEXT DAY. What "official" school calendar are YOU looking at, Billy? Where is this "updated" calendar that nobody BUT you seems to be able to find? And why do you find it necessary to blame any of these delays on the tardiness of the professors? Surely, having been a student at the campus yourself (), you know that Dr. Z. in particular is NEVER late, and will start his lectures ON TIME AND ON SCHEDULE even if there is only ONE student present? LEAVE THE PROFS ALONE Billy. They're nice people and they don't deserve to be maligned, least of all from an ungrateful "clinical student" such as you.

Billy, I suggest you stop typing for a minute and read some of your old posts. I'd suggest the thread Lost created as a good place to start. Funny you should mention speaking to the students attending Basic Sciences right now. I finished an IM conversation with one just yesterday, and he didn't mention a new calendar. How exactly, and when, did you find out about it? I would love to talk to the U.S. office, except I can never quite seem to catch anybody there during their office hours. Perhaps they haven't come back from the break either? I failed out AND failed the boards? Gee, that's an accomplishment! Since when does the ECFMG allow somebody to write their steps if they've failed out? We both know I've never failed any courses or the boards. Are you going to accuse me of being a recruiter for a different school next? That does seem to be your m.o. Oh, by the way, I'm flattered that you've at least tried to use basic grammar when responding to me. It'll come in handy during your CS exam. Did I read your last post correctly? You say you've graduated now? Well, congratulations (), now you have loads of time to devote to your posts!
For the rest of you wondering why no other MUA Belize student posts here, I cannot speak for the rest of them, just myself. I stopped posting because I'm thoroughly disgusted and embarrassed by the contents and delivery of Billybill's posts, and I'm ashamed to share any connection whatsoever with him/her.

You are correct about the school calendar and the 14th was the starting date I was given so were others who have hopefully seen the light and left by now. I have received several p.m.'s that BillyBill is really Dean R.S. and not to beleive anything on this individual's posts. Also, there is a long history of financial problems at MUA-B, faculty and students leaving. Too bad since it is located in such a pretty place.

Congratulations BillyBill on graduating. It was just a few posts a few days eariler that you were in clinicals.
Now I see you have more time to posts!

Face it MUA Belize has lost student trust. No one in their right mind will apply. I feel sorry for all the student currently listed at this site.

Well Billybill they are disputable facts, There has never been any statistical figure published by MUA of what percentage of student took USMLE and what percentage passed. Yes you have clinicals site in US but they are not green rotation as required for many state licensing and most importantly THE SCHOOL DOESN'T PAY THE CLINICAL SITES so students are made to sit at home. THERE IS NO PERMANENT CAMPUS because everyone knows that the campus is rented and you fail to pay rent for even that! Classes are no being held all year round...they are delayed, cancelled because once again you do not have control over the site. There are not many MUA Belize degree holders and I can’t see you getting once because since you can’t grasp the idea of grammar and appropriate manner. How the hell can you grasp the concepts of medicine! You are just a lawsuit and jail term waiting to happen.

To all the newbies curious about this school: "BillyBill" is one half of the husband and wife team that has been tricking students into coming to their broke bumpkin, unsuccessful school for a while now...The poster is a grown woman - not a student (that kind of gives you an idea of where she is professionally, psychologicaly and in regards to her integrity level) - and she's not even a licensed physician (she was a non-continuing caribbean med. school grad herself as I understand it), although she will tell you otherwise. Her initialials are R. S.
Do yourself a favor and just say NO to this school....
There is no shortage of offshore medical schools on VMD that will get you to your goal without breaking your - and your parents hearts and bank accounts....
Do some research, talk to the students there now and visit some of the campuses or their facilities. Good Luck!

I seriously doubt the claim that BillyBill is RS. It is pretty obvious (to me, at least) that whoever BillyBill is, their intent is to make the school look bad. BillyBill's participation on this board is worse for MUA than almost any of the other posters because people are thinking that this is the Dean.
I don't know the full story on all of this stuff. I have been to Ambergris Caye three times in the last year, and I've done my best to figure out what is going on with that school, and I just can't figure out the whole story. This is because everyone on that island is a full of s*** drunk. My kind of place ;)
I also fell in love with the island, and I decided to move there. I'm moving down on June 1st. I'll try to find out more and post it here, but I'm not going to post hearsay or rumors. So I won't post it until I verify it.

I’m not totally convinced Billybill is Dean RS, either. I remember some of Billy’s earlier posts trying to dissuade students from purchasing a golf cart being sold by md90 – something I don’t think Dean RS would have ever done, because md90 is one of her favourite students and I honestly can’t see Dean RS treating her in that manner.
In the nearly 18 months that Billybill has been with us, there have been some definite changes in the tone, personality and information of his/her posts. It almost seems like more than one person has been writing them, but I don’t think it’s a student. Some of the ‘dirty laundry’, as it were, that Billybill has gleefully shared about past/present students could have only come from administration – either from someone in administration posting as Billybill, or from someone in administration providing confidential information to Billybill. I can’t imagine how either possibility could be reassuring to potential students, so I see merit in the belief that Billybill is trying to ‘drive away business’ (ahem…<--inside joke for fossildoc). Perhaps a disgruntled employee?
As soon as I landed at Goldson Airport and saw the crop duster that was taking me to the island, my first thought was “I want to go home”. After finishing Basic Science, though, my only thought was “I don’t want to leave home”. The saddest day of my life (so far, anyway) was the day I had to leave the island, and if I’m ever given even half a chance to go back there, I’ll take it. I miss the people more than I miss the place, but nowhere else feels like home.
