GRAD PLUS question

i applied for a grad plus loan and was approved. but, when i took my app for school certification my school said they didn't have permission to certify students for this loan program. this is confusing because we can take out stafford loans, but not grad plus? even the lender i applied through said my school was approved. i already emailed the DOE but no reply yet.

i would greatly appreciate some guidance/advise. thx. cheers!:cool:

Grad PLUS loans are fairly new and financial aid office personnel are notoriously uninformed. Ask for someone in charge and see if they have a better idea of what to do.

thank you so much! i have already contacted the foreign schools' participation team at the DOE about this matter. from what i gathered, my school's app. has to be updated (to incl. the new loan program) if it wants permission to certify it's students for the GRAD PLUS loan.
