Mary Roach is the name of the author.

I don't know how she did it, but she made the book hilarious. I read it a couple summers ago and I remember being surprised that I was laughing so hard.

Of the book I said? I am pretty sure its Vincent Lam, lol the book is sitting right next to me..

Amazon Has it for 9$ US.. (http://www.amazon.com/Bloodletting-Miraculous-Cures-Vincent-Lam/dp/0385661444/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-2562224-7958547?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1177507862&sr=8-1)

The author is an M.D. and I think he practices in Toronto General, so the stories are, I think, influences by his colleagues and his patients.
