Can people work part time jobs while doing Med at Charles? I'm asking because my company can relocate me there but I think I need to work 1-2 days a week. I know my main focus would be school, I am just thinking that maybe I can pay for it and not use loans. By the way, do any of you know if you can get canadian loans to go to charles.

Hi, I'm working here for a tutoring agency and studying. Only I'm about to quit on thursday because exams are coming up soon. I know that in the 2nd Faculty most of Friday is free generally because we have 'optional sports', don't know about the others.
What is your job? Because honestly if it requires more than a few hours a week then I think it could be tough. It's not an easy course here!
I know a dude who got a Canadian loan to study here, said it was no problem.

i'm sure one can work if they want to (providing they get the work permit) bt its not advisable as med school is no joke. In fact its pretty much the same scenario with the med schools in the US. Even though you are permitted to work there, ppl dont coz its not easy to cope with the rigorous curriculum (med school itself is more than rigorous..)...

You could try teaching English a couple of days a week, I've heard of people doing this.

However, if you really want to succeed, there is no way you will be able to make enough money to pay $11,500 or however much Charles costs now, in addition to accomodation and food costs. I think the average Czech's salary is ~ $22,000 USD, and you'd probably need close to $20,000 to finance your whole first year. So essentially, you'd have to work full time. I don't think you have a good chance at passing your first year if you work full time (unless you've already taken first year subjects in college, in which case, it should be review to a certain extent).
